  • Take It, It Has Always Been Yours

Skeleton handing over their heart to a dog skeleton.

This is a tribute to my own dog, but also an attempt to capture the love a lot of people share with their pets.

It shows a human handing over their heart.
The dog is drawn in cooler greys and with a blue heart, hinting that they have passed and will take their owner’s heart with them. Looking closely, we can see some blue creeping up the human’s toes. This symbolizes the inevitable aging process that will lead them to meet again.

  • Inktober 2025

This is last year’s Inktober challenge. It was hosted by Ioana Pioaru. This piece is based on a reference image she provided, recreated one square at a time over the course of 30 days.
It was very refreshing to do the squares as individual art pieces, not being sure if the would match the neighboring piece. That allowed me to experiment with alternating stippling and cross-hatching without worrying about the bigger picture.
I loved it and look forward to joining the next one this year!

  • Hello!

I’ll try to get into the habit of sharing daily sketches and progress on here. I hope at least one person can draw some inspiration and pursue their own passion/hobby. Feel free to share any comments or questions you have!

Here’s a watercolor sketch I made a few months ago. I don’t have a lot of experience with the medium, but have quite enjoyed playing with it!
